Occurring almost halfway through the story (on the second day of the power
out), Justin is leading Maya to a water tower he has found in the woods
in a previous chapter. A note on the tie: Justin tied it around his head
when he first went into the woods, in a sort of commando-style gesture.
When Maya discovered him swimming later, she appropriated it for her best
"American" impression.
